Sloth is a dark fantasy personification of one of the seven deadly sins. An ancient, decaying queen remains motionless upon an overgrown throne, her cracked body slowly surrendering to vines, dust, and fungal growth. A fading crown of roses rests above her exhausted expression while an hourglass hangs loosely in her hand, marking the passage of time she no longer resists.
Muted earth tones, eroded textures, and subdued light create an atmosphere of stagnation and quiet ruin. Rather than portraying sloth as simple laziness, the piece explores emotional paralysis, neglect, and the slow deterioration that begins when action is postponed for too long.
